Junior Marine Tech Day: Recap

On May 2nd, 2026, we hosted our first Junior Marine Tech Day — a hands-on workshop where local kids got to build real marine electrical components from the ground up, guided by our team.

Each station walked kids through the fundamentals: wiring a fuse block, crimping and connecting cable, and building out a working switch panel — the same skills our techs use every day rigging tournament boats. Kids worked in small groups with real tools, stripping and crimping wire, mounting components, and troubleshooting connections alongside our team.

Later in the day, the group gathered around a live Lowrance chart plotter to see it all come together — watching how the wiring they’d just learned powers the electronics anglers rely on out on the water.

By the end of the day, every student walked away with a completed project and a Junior Marine Tech certificate of their own. We’re already looking forward to next year’s group — check out a short video from the day on our Videos page.
